Exclamation Totally stripped a bolt, how can I take it off?

I totally stripped one of the bolts that connect from the stock cat to the y-pipe while taking off my stock cats. There is absolutely no way to get that bolt off by a wrench, sockets, wd-40 etc. What would you guys do to take that bolt off?
This is getting so annoying cuz that is the last bolt I need to take off before putting the crawford cats on...

Thank in advance.

there are special sockets that are meant for getting stripped bolts off. They work really well. I got a set of them from Sears.

For future reference, make sure you use the right size, 6 point socket. If you did and still stripped it, I don't know what to tell you.

Thanks for the heads up. I did use 14mm 6-point socket.

Bought a drill and also some bolts that specially for stripped bolts, which didn't work cuz the bolts were too mess up. After trying for 4 more hours to drill it, no result. I am running high flow cat one side and stock cat the other side now.
Hopefully I can bring to a shop tomorrow and have them drill it out for me

Do you have a link of the exact model of Dremel?

Deng, I saw your post earlier about you installing the test pipes, now I am in the same situation.

its about a $50 dollar dremel. buy extra cutting wheels/disc (theyre fragile)
has like 10 speeds, plugs into wall.
http://www.dremelstore.us/drem395varsp.html

cut the nuts into thirds (halfs and they wont fall off easy, then you might have to do fourths so thirds is the best way) they should just fall off.

yeah, the bolts were tighter on the passengar side.

more to my story...went to install a y-pipe a week later. damn 3 of 4 bolts seized/striped. took 6 hrs of wrenching/dremel to get them off and the new pipe installed. a royal pita. i actually sheared one of the new bolts in half.

gl with it, let us know how it goes.

Thanks CUxtopher for the link.
I think I am gonna get up early and bring the car to a shop and see what they can do with it. It's HIN tomorrow in Phoenix and I wanna get the car done ASAP so I can have time to wash and zaino the car.

Yeah man no kidding this is a royal pita. It looked like a straight foward install until you started wrenching....

FYI for people who's going to install their test pipes/HFC in future, it's always a good idea to have a friend helping you out with lining up things and lots of extensions (If your hand/are isn't small enough)

WD-40 and some air tools work well, too.

Impact air tools work really well for removing exhaust bolts. They help to break them loose without stripping them. It is easy to strip an exhaust bolt using manual wrenches and sockets.

I actually have an impact wrench. They really help alot. But there's a nut at the inner side at the beginning of the y-pipe, and that is too narrow for an impact wrench to reach to. I had a hard time taking that one off.
