So is the sport z mag website the only place to order the mag from? Do any stores sell them so I can just go pick one up?

Are plenum spacers good enough for f/i applications?

Yes.

Both Motordyne's and AAM's is made of fairly thick 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. In fact, the 6061-T6 alloy is quite a bit harder and stronger than the alloys used in the plenum castings.

Boost is a non issue to an all aluminum spacer... Pressure wouldn't even be a challenge untill about 200+ PSI. But there probably won't be many Z's running boost that high.

It does what its name says, It spaces your Plenum to create more volume and give more power. The Z has a angled plenum to clear the strut bar (slopes down from back to front) so the front doesnt get as much air as the rest.

Also the plenum is the part that your intake connects to.

I am sure you will get much more technical answers from others but this is my short version!

I'm interested in knowing which ones work with the stock strut bar AND retain the use of the factory engine cover.

Motordyne 5/16 and 1/2 will work with the engine cover, however the 1/2, I believe will not work with the strut bar.

Not sure of the skunk2 or the AAM.

I would recommed the the Motordyne Iso Thermal... Not only because I have it intalled on my Z and enjoy my gains, but also because Tony (Hydrazine) of Motordyne eng. is always around to answer your posts or PM's...

So is the issue with the plenum shoot out on stands yet?

If not when should I expect it?
