Water spots on Pop charger chrome trim, does the water really splash up that high??

Default Water spots on Pop charger chrome trim, does the water really splash up that high??

I noticed today some waters spot on the pop charger's chrome trim ...allot and on the heat shield. Can water really splash up that high?? Has anyone else had this before?

Car wash?

Mine does the same thing. I see it mostly after washing the car. The air path is pretty open to the front and from the wheelwell. The filter can take being wet (not soaked) if it is properly oiled.

Maybe not so much on a Z with the huge splash guard but I would bet yes. My last car had mud splashed on the engine side of the hood.
