New exhaust clip, AAM spacer in place, Borla TD, Helix TP, and JWT pop charger...
How different is the sound between borla with HFC and TP? Is the difference worth the smell/rasp? I am considering between the two choices atm, I would like to keep it from throwing CELs, and do not want a lot of fumes/smells. Any info on the difference? (was thinking Crawford/kenetix HFC btw)
You smell the fuel a little on start up, but it fades away if you keep the windows up, and the wind is blowing the right way. Otherwise, you can still get the occasional slight wisp of fuel if you are sitting still, and the wind blows the exhaust back towards the cabin.
With the foulers in place, you shouldn't throw a SES.
No cat will make the power a TP makes, but it depends on what you want.

Well if its a matter of 2-3 WHP difference, then I don't really care. And if the sound difference is small, then I don't really care. But, If the gains are significantly different and the sound is significantly different, then it would be worth the smell/rasp. So, what would you guys say is the difference? Is it signicant in changing sound/power?

Hey VeeTec, what is the diameter of the Borla True Dual? I had the helix test pipes (2.5" ) mated up with a custom dual 2.5 exhaust with resonators and 60mm Apex canisters, and it was way, way, waaaay too loud!! like undriveable. Had to put the cats back on to calm them down.
I would have to say removing the test pipes reduced the sound by at least 35%!
