Default quick header question

do all headers use 2.25" piping or do some use 2.5" or lager? thanks.

anyone? if I find that they are all using the same 2.25" tubing then I just might do something crazy and get the Megan headers, if tubing size is the same, bends are the same, and everything but maybe weld quality is the same, its just not physically possible for other headers (minus crawford and other long tubes) to be superior. someone talk me out of it, I'm nervous.

it depends on the headers...

some are smalller, some are larger...

some are ported, some are just on the flange...

I have some images of NISMO headers compared to DC... but my photobucket is dwn for maintnence rite now..

NISMO, and has the nicest construction...

the first pipe goes into a pipe that is just sliightly bigger so there is nothing turbulating the air in the piping...

where most of the other headers have the same size pipe welded together which either has a seam or some of the welding sticking through to restrict the air...

you can see how the pipe closest to the cylinder head is slightly smaller then the next one it goes into...

The NISMO Headers are already ported: (this pic is next to the DC Ceramic... The Stillen / DC headers look pretty much the same from this angle (stillen are a bit sloppier though)

larger exit on the NISMO Header (left) dc Right

each one of these is a drivers side header (mirror immage) of NISMO and DC...

Im not saying the NISMO Headers are the best in the world... but they are pretty up there compared to the other lower priced headers on the market...

I have the DC Ceramic headers on my car... They are CARB Certified and they are doin me just fine for now (legal and all)... If I could, I would run the NISMO's or Crawfords... But $ is a factory for me too...
