Default Borla td install question

I searched and came up with 156 topics... umm I read the first 2 pages and couldnt find it so I dont wanna look anymore.

How hard is it to install this as apposed to other exhaust systems? It looks like twice the parts... just curious if an amatuer (that has done installs like these before) can do it easily with no leaks etc, or should just pay someone to install?

The Borla has a lot of pieces, but I don't see why it would be difficult to install. The most difficult part can be removing the old exhaust: I recommend using a lift for convenience.

How much is a profession install for a cat-back? I paid $80.

David's right--I did it myself on a lift with air tools, so it wasn't bad.

Hardest part is getting the old exhuast off. specially the bolts that connects the cat-back to the cats. You might want to use a air gun or torch the bolts up. It might even be worse to get off if your car sees winters.

Easy install, mine doesn't leak at all. I think the hardest part is getting the stock muffler out of there. I did mine install in a pit. I didn't have any trouble getting any of the bolts off.

This is an easy install. Especially if you have acess to a lift. My intake was harder to put on.

Alright thanks guys. Well I dont have means to a life so im thinking of doing the janks and ramp method used by my friend to install his test pipes, should work the same... Anyways sounds like a pretty decent install as long as I can get a hold of an airgun... What were approx times of install so I know if I need to call off a day of work or not?

I’m a fan of products such as Liquid Wrench. The day before the install, spray Liquid Wrench on all the nuts and bolts, and let it work overnight. Removing nuts and bolts the next day will be much easier.

I got a local mechanic to install it with my help. Wasn't a problem at all. He even spot welded the joints to keep it stable. No leaks.

He charged me $75 and threw out the stock exhaust for me.

BTW, it sounds orgasmic !!!!

The time is difficult to estimate. As I mentioned, I paid 1.0 hours labor for a professional install.
