Default Skunk2 plenum spacer

Hi
This is firt message in this forum.

I have a question about skunk2 plenum spacer ...

Really increase Hp and torque ?
factory plastic plenum cover must be removed with plenum spacer ?
If yes only this must be removed or other components ?
Advised the purchase to me?

ciao!
excellent question...
i'm one of the many skeptics in this forum regarding true hp gains with plenum spacers.
i'd do more research first before going for a spacer.....
personally i don't think its worth the effort.
Ciao! good luck to you.

you must be looking at the sale on those spacers in the vendor section huh? to be honest I haven't heard anything about the skunk2 spacer. however I've seen and heard of many substantial increases in hp/tq with the use of the motordyne and aam spacers. although you probably won't extract the full potential of the spacer w/o an ECU reflash. I just purchased the motordyne 5/16 and I have yet to install it, however I feel the spacer/plenum mods are one of the best mods per dollar.

just curious. someone asked about about this a couple of days ago. is an ecu
reflash really required? i wasn't sure but it sounds like it might be best to do
it... i always assumed the ecu would eventually relearn over time.

check out turbo magazine (january 2006 edition-U.S publication). turbo has an article about Skunk2 plenum spacer on a 350z. i think it generated around +10WHP off the dyno. figures could be off by a few horses. i dont remember price and not too sure about install either. good luck with ur mods.

We have been selling a bunch of them and people are very happy with them...

I like the contents of the kit of the spacer and the material....

i saw closeup pics of that spacer, and it looked like really poor fitment and quality. i'd take the md, which was designed by a g owner, is very hq, and made 17whp, dyno-verified, on my hks sc.

Do a search on the skunk2 plenum

https://my350z.com/forum/search.php

Motordyne is the best plenum spacer out there. Do a search on that as well and form your own opinions

The Skunk2 plenum spacer is really nice. It really lowers the plenum cover because it prevents the plenum from heat soak.

Ive been leaning towards getting the mototdyne spacer as well but came across the skunk2 and saw that it was cheaper and the motordyne was out of stock. So either i get the skunk2 spacer with the topspeed headers im getting or a y pipe with the headers. Which do u think im better off with? I have a stock exhaust and will be getting the topspeed exhaust shortly after these modds.

Patience is a virtue and when it comes to quality parts versus a subpar product for my Z, I would wait a bit. It's not like the Motordyne parts are made in Japan where you are going to have to wait 3-4 months or something

Why and which bracket do you need to get?
I have the injen CAI and am contemplating putting the motordyne 5/16 spacer.
The website says that the stock strut bar does not need to be removed.
