I have $300 i am getting for xmas from my grandparents and want to put it into my G. I know its not much but i am debating between a front lip or either a Crawford Plenum or a Plenum Spacer. What do you guys thing i should get?
which spacer to go with , the 1/2" or the 5/16", i really dont care about the engine cover and i have no strut bar.and i assume i should get the iso thermal?
Get the larger one-I would. The ISO thermal will costs more, and may keep you from getting the test-pipes. You may also want to look at AAM's spacer its relatively cheap.
You cant avoid running lean, som ecu's compensate well for mods, most dont. If you get too lean you need a reflash or a piggyback later on. Any test-pipes work, I got cheapo mild steel ones that are rusted to $hit but who cars they arent leaking and they havent broken. If you throw a CEL, also with an 04.5' chancers are you will, you can get O2 sensor simulators to eliminate that light. Do a search for where to buy those....
lean is hard to tell visual wise, unlike rich where detonating and smoke and smell of pure fuel. But if you are running lean you will notice in throttle response, The Emange is the best way for NA cars to get the perfect a/F ratio
if you are afraid of test pipes then get a y pipe, the stock exhaust flows pretty well, along with a plenum spacer. motordyne is having a sale right now.
