Default Check out this manifold!!

http://www.importtuner.com/features/...g35/index.html

I wonder how a guy gets his hands on one of these. Maybe have him fabricate a few more....

That's been around for a while. Its a one off custom. There is a shop on this site, however, working on a production manifold similar in appearance to this one.

The 4th picture down is a very interesting shoot of the car...

No offense, but that manifold looks like it flows like crap.
It would be to see how it does on a flowbench but because of the hard curves I can almost bet it will not do very well

I wonder how much that will matter after the stroker kit, twin turbo, and nitrous.

My guess is not very much at all.

Why doesn't everyone feel like a one sided manifold chamber (kinda like the kinetix SSV) w/ a taper to the last cylinder (to increase pressure at the farthest cylinder) would be the best design? Isnt that how most raceing manifolds are designed?

often in time, people go for the "look" factor.

Have you seen the runner length? IMHO they could improve upon it more.
Looks wise the Kinetix SSV is awesome.

I did a ton of research and was going to develop my own intake for the engine I was planning to put into my 240z,(vg30dett) I never built it but there are many things to consider with any engine, overall is what are you building it for (forced induction, N/A high RPM, Low RPM etc. Runner length will will and can have a huge impact on all that allong with flow. The taper part as you mention plumpzz can help by speeding up velocity but think of it in a way than an engine works

Engine Valves open and close and they suck air down the runner, well when valve closes the air starts to travel back up out of the runner, it definitly will not sit in the runner(at least on an N/A). uggh I could go more into detail but that would take me for ever to write..

Honestly, I think Nissan did a good job with their manifold. Yes they could have opened it more in the front but from a mfgr's view they didnt for several reasons, probably the biggest being clearance.

not to be rude, but how does that have anyting to do w/ my post lol?

But yeah it does look cool. I dont know why they're attached on the top.. equalize pressure but i dont think ud want to equalize pressure if u want farthest cylinder to get air, since its a vacuum inside

I just thought that it was a good design for a ram air type of a set-up considering that the air flow started in the front rather than the rear. Thoughts?

im creating intake manifolds, not only is air volume and velocity very important, but one must also take into consideration the firing order of the cylinders to help determine where the optimul place to put the TB.

+1, that is a work of art but, I don't think it's really preformance based.

Not my type..or taste but a very quality build..and the cars doesn't bad either...lol all joking aside though, the car looks extremely well done. I do like the intake design
