uh, that would be a NO, that's why Kinetix calls it the SSV.

Its the name of a product, not the name of an item.. SSV is made by kinetix.

it's 800 bucks and the only thing people can agree on is that it is decent looking. I have seen more dynos showing power loss with it than gains. And those that do show gains with it, usually didn't have a proper tune to compare it to, or are running their car on different dynos.

On top of that, I haven't seen any flow bench testing on or any good R&D material from kinetix that states it's design does anything more than look decent - and IMO, I don't care for the look of it.

That dyno plot on the website is a joke. They claim 79 horses out of installing it...nevermind that you have to add FI, tune the crap out of it, and move your rev-limiter up. At stock redline it only makes 33-41 hp more (it's hard to read the last digit on the after graph). Then you throw in the fact that their baseline dyno was 3 months prior to the "gains" dyno and that's not very accurate data. And it doesn't make sense to spend $800+ for the same gains you could get with a $200 plenum spacer.

+!

You're better off with a plenum spacer (I would recommend Motordyne Engineering) or a new upper plenum by Crawford. Go to www.motordyneengineering.com and check out the "dyno tab" you'll find some dynos on motordyne's spacer and other plenum mods.

i know man, they just look @ $ 800, but they don't see that the Crawford will be 500 w/ the FSTB and will look like @SS.

And also how do you boost a spacer? I think it would leak like crazy.

what was your before dyno? doesn't seem at all impressive for $800.00.

This was my first dyno. And I consider it my starting point for my FI setup.

And you are correct it's not too impressive, but I did not loose any hp or tq, instead I think I got some.

We all know how sh**ty our ecu's are. So without tuning most mods will not do anything “IMPRESSIVE " like you said.
