Hey guys, wondering if u could help me out, lookin into test pipes, are they worth tha money? will my check engine light go on? will i pass inspection wit em? will it make my exhaust(HKS) sound ****ty wit them on? and on top of all who installs them in NJ and what is the best brand to go wit? please help me out, it will be greatly appreciated...

 

with test pipes, ur going to get some raspy sound. Ur also goin have bad odor from the test pipes. CEL light will also go off. Test Pipes give very good gains and performance. Go with either kinetix HFC or Crawford HFC.

TP's are def worth it.

If you have '03 model you wont get CEL. '04 you might get CEL. '05 you'll def get CEL. you can fix the CEL with the HELP! method or non-fouler, search the forum to check how to get rid of it.

APS is the best TP available IMO.

Test pipes delete the catalytic converters. It is basically just straight piping where the cats would go...making the car much louder, and illegal...in most places I think.

 

well how much hp gain can u get? and i got an 04 touring A/T..i just dont want to get hit wit tickets and what not and wit inspection and installing gonna be a pain in the butt esp if their illegal...would inspection even check in NJ? i mean i know a few ppl wit them on and love it to death but i dont know what to do...any one know where im coming from?...
