Well I'm sure the origional poster found this reply useful

I cant coment on the stillen since I dont know much about it, but I can speak for the Borla. I have it and I love it. Some people complain because its a lot of parts and there is a good chance of an exhaust leak, however 7 months and probobly 15,000 miles later I have yet to encounter a single leak, you just have to do it right the first time. The looks and sound of the exhaust is similar to stock, with both just being a little more aggresive. Do a search you'll find lots of useful info.

What is your selection criteria and budget? Single or dual? Type of crossover(X, Y or H-pipe) or none. Polished stainless steel. Ease of installation. Piping size.

Study exhaust systems and determine which meet your selection criteria.

Make your choice.

Borla has a deeper sound. Both are great. Can't go wrong with either.

Borla for the sound; stillen for the performance. Depends what you're looking for. I have a borla and love it, but the only reason I put it on the car was because I love that borla sound.

Considering your budget, Borla is the choice. Excellent decision.

Stillen. Sounds way better, and the exhaust isnt in so many pieces...i.e. future leaks. Only downside to Stillen is the price and the fact that its heavier than stock. Shop around.

Sport Z Magazine:

PEAK HP:
1. Borla 8.2
2. Stillen 8.1
3. Injen 7.6
4. Nismo 6.3
5. 5Zigen -3.4

PEAK Torque:
1. Stillen 7.3
2. Injen 5.1
3. Nismo 4.5
4. Borla 2.7
5. 5Zigen 0.2

I never had the stillen, but it has very good numbers on the above chart, and yes, it weighs more then stock. I went with the Borla because it had very high HP gain, Love the sound of the Borla. The install was a piece of cake(if you do it right). 10,000K and no rattle nor leaks. I installed High Flow cats and now the Borla sounds even more louder. I will see how it will sound this spring when I install my new headers. No regrets with the Borla.

Thumbs up Borla leaks and rattles!

My friend has the Borla on his Z. U hear a lot of rattling and has faced a lot of exhaust leaks. It's annoying. Now for the Stillen, def sounds better then borla, but is heavier. I have the nismo, and I love it. If I can do it again, I would looked into the Injen as well. Love the set-up and sounds good. Gives good all around performance. Good luck!

If you don't do a crappy install your borla won't leak.

Borla has a deeper sound and lighter and cheaper compare to stillen. I had it and love it. Yes, people will say they have too many pieces but if they install right, you shouldn't have any problem.

I've said too much about the borla already for the last 2.5 years. I love it.
One thing I never told is how I polished the muffler (the exposed side) with some Mothers Billet Polish. Made it look a lot better for what portion you can see.

Like Bubble said. Do it right and no worries.
