Hey i wanted to know my buddy has a 350z. Injen intake.... i wanted to see if he could and if he did PORT AND POLISH HIS INTAKE MANIFOLD. Would it be worth it and how much power could he get

 

Get a better manifold.

 

Unless he went ***** deep and ported and polished the heads, and did cams with a full exhause and tuning then he would be wasting his money and time.

 

On a stock car it would be a waste

Your friend could also just buy the 05/06 lower plenum and spacer to pick up a good amount of hp.

 

thats kinda what the crawford plenum is. they hack a stock manifold in half and then put it back together while creating a larger volume in the plenum. in addition they port it out a bit. much cheaper just to buy a new IM than to have a shop do it, and unless you match the porting of the manifold with alterations in the head youre wasting money.
