obviously someone just posting to be posting. but i have the JWT popcharger and i got it mainly for the price, the sound, and doing some indepedant checks (some that were done on this site) actually had better gains than a CAI. plus it is a hell of alot easier to maintain than a CAI.

I thought their were problems with the JWT shutting down the engine or stalling after a certain gear or a certain speed?
I think I read this on a memeber from 350zmotoring

PS
I am about to purchase the Nismo CAI any opinions?

I got an Injen CAI, and I have no complaints other than cleaning the filter (but that comes with the territory). Pretty much 99% of the people on this board are going to recommend the Popcharger because it's a proven performer and it's cheap.
Oh, Redroadster, from what I hear the Nismo is one of the worst CAIs. If you want to go that route, get the Injen or K+N.

I had a Ingen CAI on my last car and had zero problems with it. My question is this how many of you have had problems with the pop port or had issues with your car stalling out? I worked really hard to get this car and don't want to pull up at a light and stall out! That would be embarassing.
the guy with the fastest Z in the world has same exact one, INJEN, haha, everyone over at G35driver also seems to love the Injen, now talk

I can't speak for the other intakes, but I really like the JWT I got from Performance Nissan. I'm not sure if it makes more power, but the exhaust does seem to sound a little better and the car runs a little more smoothly over the stock intake. Also it's interesting to hear the whistle from the intake sucking all that air down when at full throttle.

You must look at Filter Placement...
On a Dyno the INJEN intake is going to be best since you have a fan blowing air towards the filter at a mellow velocity. In real world driving, when you are going 60-70 MPH and air is rushing towards the filter, the air naturally forms a cushin around the filter and air moves around the filter taking the path of least resistance... So Injen filter placement is not optimal...
AEM / NISMO filter placement is optimal for a cold air intake... The filter is place where air has no where else to go. The filter is placed where air is moving but not too fast around the filter that it can not be sucked into the filter easily...
K&N Typhoon intake has best of both worlds... You have a Short Ram Intake as well as a snorkle getting cooler air from the outside towards it...
Short Ram intakes (K&N / JWT) generally offer better throttle response and higher HP at higher RPM's...
Cold Air Intakes will make around the same HP up top (little less) but lower end power is greater...

That car is a turbo car...
does not have a conventional "Intake" on turbo cars...
Our 350Z race cars that run in Grand Am Cup run injen intakes only because its what the series required...

I'd stick with AEM...it's a proven brand and they are all C.A.R.B. exempt or pending C.A.R.B exemption (50-state legal) and they have the new filts...DRYFLOW Synthetic Air Filter and DRYFLOW Filter Cleaning System...
