Get two packs of HELP! Spark plug nonfoulers - part number 42002 or 42009 (either will work) - these are readily available at Autozone, Checker, Pep Boys, etc.
Drill ONLY 2 of the nonfoulers out with a 1/2" drill bit. Fit 1 NON-drilled fouler into each test pipe. Fit 1 drilled nonfouler into the previously installed undrilled fouler on each bank. Finally insert your o2 sensor into the drilled nonfouler and reconnect the wires.
THAT IS IT! Reset your ECU and the CEL will not come back!

they will turn off by themselve after few thousand miles. The computer will re-adjust itself. No need to spend money on Spark plug nonfoulers.

With due respect it was like $5 for the 2 sets of non-foulers.

So they do turn off after a couple of thousand miles. so no need for nonfoulers just in case you are to lazy to crawl underneath the car to put it in?

Or put them in while installing the TP.

on 03s and early 04s there is no need to run the nonfoulers.

On 04.5 - 06 models you will need to use something to keep the CEL off. Nonfoulers are the easiest way.

Not saying it isn't possible, but for the most part, you are an exception.

I have an 03 and my check engine light is on after a few hundred miles. Think I'll go ahead and install the nonfoulers.

Run to autozone and have them pull the code for you. almost no 03s throw CEL from test pipes and I would guess there might be something else going on causing your CEL.

I went to Autozone already and got the code pulled. I believe it was a 0057 I want to say. Not sure of the exact message but it did have something to do with the O2 sensor.

P0057 Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 2, bank 2, heater control – heater circuit low Wiring short to ground, HO2S, ECM

not test pipe related. IMO, you have a damaged sensor

All of this over $5 nonfolers? You are spending $100-$200 on the pipes and can't front a $5 fix that has been proven to work? I'm still wanting on getting my APS Test Pipes and have already bought the nonfolers. This way when I install the pipes I don't have to worry about the SES light.

Another thing I didn't get also... I've reset the ECU and it goes away of course and stays away if I drive normal. As soon as I go WOT or a little less than that it comes on.

Guess I'll see about getting some O2 sensors sometime down the road.

edit-
Now that I think about it. Since I went to Autozone and got the code pulled I took the O2 sensors off and I went to erase the code but did link instead and I pulled up another code (P0042 I think or P0024). After I erased it, came back. I guess I'll run another scan and see.

After getting my APS test pipes I got the Casperselectronics o2 boxes which makes the computer think that everything is ok. I had them hardwired in and have yet to get a CEL. They are more expensive but are a very good product.
