Here is what a pop charger is based on what I have read:
1. A gain or loss of 5 HP
2. A stalling problem
3. 100 dollars wasted ( should have bought some zaino polish instead)

4. Whoops I forgot a warranty issue that Nissan can use to not service your car when you really need it.

Not entirely true. From experience...

1) Noticeable top end gain and quick 1/4.
2) Never stalled
3) Only paid $50 used.
4) Been to the dealship about 3 times since I had it hehe.

Stalling problem? I have never had a problem with mine. I like the sound and I also feel a slight gain up top.

I think it adds mroe power. Mine hasn't stalled yet either after 500 miles so far, and I've driven it pretty hard to test it out.

Is there a difference in sound? Or does CAI's only do that?

My buddy installed a JWT Pop charger after having a Ingen CAI(1st Gen) and we both agree the pop charger added more. More of what? I dont know? But the car sounded mean and felt livelier. As for me, I installed a JWT Pop charger a week or so ago and felt a better pull. Buy one used, when someone goes F/I thats the thing they'll get rid of first. Expect to pay $50-$80, but if its in the $80 range they better pay shipping.

Oh, the stalling did happen to me! I was racing a Audi 1.8T on the veterans and put it in N and got of the throttle at the end of 4th and the Tach needle hit zero. Popped the clutch and kept on going. Only time though.

Also, the same type stalling issue happened all the time in my V-Tech CRX with many different intakes. Dont think its a JWT Pop charger thing.

Popcharger makes a cool "whooshing" noise when you get on the throttle and between shifts. Also, I had a CAI on my last car, and it kinda sounded the same. Also...there was a shootout in Nissan Performance Mag that showed the popcharger gave the biggest gains.

Plus, it's 120 bones from Courtesyparts.com
