Default Nismo sport catalysts?

I've seen these before on the web and japanese sites, but has anyone here own a set? The price is sky high, but i understand they are Nismo, plus are probably made to the quality of the stock units. Curious to their sound, fitment, emissions and whatnot.

yes these are the highest quality stuff you can find! about the cost of stock cats from nissan! sound is that of stock, fitment is perfect and I mean PERCET emissions is excellent, just like stock cats.

I have had the NISMO sport cats now for almost 2 1/2 years now.

Just like eat rice Z33 stated above - and there is no rasp (there was a tiny rasp in 5th gear at the start, but it has disappeared). Never any problem with them.

eat rice z33 .. Thanks. I haven't installed the MD spacer yet .. no time and just too freakin' cold. Plan to do it over the next 1-2 weeks. I like the pads .. really great bite - a lot better than my previous NISMO pads - but they do squeak a lot when cold until they get warmed up (then they squeak a little). The HC+ pads are on the upper range of performance to racing, hence the noise. I just care about performance .. not sound.

nizmoz .. The cats were part of the NISMO Resetting package I got here in Japan at my local NISMO dealer to include flywheel, ECU, exhaust, cats, plugs, and air filter. I have since changed the plugs (using the same type) and the air filter (still NISMO .. but now orange color and oil base).

Are you a US military or US expatriate, or a Japanese guy? I hadn't realized you were actually in Japan!! How much would it cost me to be the NISMO CATS in Japan, please? Thanks!

nizmoz .. US expat. The info regarding the cats is as mc350z posted. Also, I believe Performance Nissan and some other vendors are now offering the bushing kit for sale.

mc350z .. Thanks for posting the info. And.. YES ! The new NISMO version2 bumper is b-u-tiful. Costs an arm and a leg .. plus painting - but the best looking, IMHO. I've been sitting on the fence for years on the NISMO body kit .. mine will probably remain stock given that I have just come on the 3rd year anniversary of receiving my babe. Still looking for little performance mods -- like the THX shift **** ! Another plug for seemingly one of the best shifter ***** on the market.
