Default MREV+ & 1/4 mile time!

I tried to search but nothing came up.......

Is there any improvement on 1/4 mile with MREV?

Why does it lose 2.5hp at high end rpm?

Thanks for looking

Just search for MREV and you'll find out why it loses hp up top. I havent seen any 1/4 results pre and post MREV. That would be totally cool!

Additional horsepower and torque are very difficult to translate to ET. Variables such as driver performance will make any claim meaningless.

Very true, but if we were to rely on consistancy then its obvious a Z with the MREV mod will get a better ET because of the increased torque and hp in the mid-range rpm's.

So this meant 1/4 time will remain the same?

Agree. We would have to get two 350Zs to the track. One modified and one not. Same tires - same lane. The same driver runs each car say 5 times, then average the ET. If the finale result was a 1/10 second or more difference, I would give the test some credibility.

But its pretty obvious if you add 20ft lbs of torque all across your powerband and 18whp then you will get a better time. Power to weight ratio clearly explains this to us. We really dont need hard facts or a independent test to confirm it. I mean if he's asking how much faster it would be then I cannot answer that. But if he's asking will this mod make me faster I will absolutely say yes.

Ive been wanting to do a pre-post test, as Im consistent and run decent times. Tony even offered somebody a free MREV if they let me pre/post test their REvup down the 1/4....now thats a man confident in his product.

Because peak numbers aren't the only thing worth increasing. You may lost 2.5 hp at 6800RPM, but its the 22+whp at like 4000RPM that makes you faster.

how would a revup be with a spacer the? i am guessing that peak hp will go up and lower torque will be lost?

That is the case with "MREV".
But on a stock "REVUP" engine, the spacer by itself doesn't do anything.
