same performance, just different materials. The stainless will last a bit longer overall. Excellent units for the $$

If you live in an envrionment with alot of salt in the air or on the roads, the mild steel ceramic coated will rust and currode...

If you live an envrionment like this, its best to go with the stainless steel...

The stainless steel can last the life of the car, unless they get scratched that is the only way they will really rust...

The Mild Steel will last years as long as the ceramic coating isnt chipped away to expose the Mild steel that will easly rust away...

Are you 100% certain of this? I have always understood that SS was the metal itself, not just a coating. I think you are talking about the ceramics...

it is not just a coating...

stainless steel rusts if it is scratched...

if it is unscratched it will not...

Mild or Ceramic steel are cheaper, and will be just fine in any climate, if JetHot Coated. A pict. of my Crawfords coated with the least expensive JetHot Sterling is attached. And, not they are not for sale. They are on my car, and I luv 'em.

About $200. I got the Jet-Hot 2000 flat black coating and think its worth it. I figured if I was going to go through the pains of getting them in, the coating would give me the peace of mind that Ill never have to worry about them (hopefully). Plus it cuts down on engine temp and provides for a smoother flow.

They don't rust but they do get corroded over time by the salt! (The DC header at least) I had one on my integra years ago and it got really corroded during winter driving!
