What does everyone here think about this exhaust?? Does it improve performance that much? What about the way it sounds.
I am thinking about buying the exhaust and would just like some feedback.

i heard it from 2 local members ... Thepanic and sillk...
its sounds great, sillk had his silencers on and thepanic had them off... both sounds pretty sick
... dont know much about the numbers... but its a Y pipe back exhaust and the SMR is known to be pretty loud ...
The Panic is around philly area and sillk is around harrisburg area maybe contact them and meet them to have a listen...

Dont be a punk, just observation.

 

Its obscenely loud. I had one for awhile, and it was LOUD. I then added test pipes.......... You could hear me from miles away. Oh it sounded so sick but it gave me headaches from driving it (even with the windows up) so I traded it for the Tanabe Super Medallion Hyper. The SMH sounds so much cleaner and deeper and is much more streetable, and I haven't noticed any loss in power.

 

Is there such thing as a silencer for this exhaust??

 

yes, screw on silencers...
but dont run silencers because it will sound weird...
i think if you buy the SMR you are making a choice and accepts the "RACING" part of the exhaust name...
its a good exhaust i think... from my experience, its not THAT loud after hearing it from 2 different cars with 2 different set ups...
but you need to get the Y-pipe for the full exhaust

 

Thanks for the reply. it is loud but i am getting used to it. i just dont like driving late night sometimes. attracts the wrong attention.

hey you people, the selection for an exhaust is like sky is the limit, from AMUSE Ti to Top speed pro-1 to custom dual with HKS mufflers... its funny that PA area Z ppl have the same kind of exhausts lol...
