Default Megan Resonated VS Normal Test Pipes

I just got done installing my Megan test pipes (resonated) and megan Y-pipe. Dont get me wrong the performace is awsome BUT there is this tinging nose like a cricket in them at 2000rpm (deceleration) and a hard rattle at 2500-2750rpm (acceleration), VERY ANNOYING! I was going to take them off but!

Her is my question to you normal test pipe owners. Does that happend to you guys to? I think it has some thing to do with the U bracket that is not reused on the megans. please let me know how. Are there any test pipe that reuse that stock bracket.

the cricket noise is normal and very annoying, the rattle is actually our exhaust not the test pipies, but the test pipes (and all test pipes) cause that rattle. Normal test pipes like APS don't cricket but they still have that rattle.

oh and the cricket noise doesn't happen on my test pipes

How does the test pipes cause the exhaust to rattle and is there a fix to this?

Pray they won't crack in a few months. My did just after 2 months. Now I'm saving up for some quality ones.

Plumpzz
So when you let of the gas, 3000-1800rpm there is no crikect on the APS, but the hard rattle when accelerating at 2750rpm is normal.

Any complaints about the APS TP

the tinging noise in your megan hfc is a common complaint among people on this forum that have installed those. It is not common with all hfc's, because there are a number of people that removed their megans and went with a different maker with no problems.
the only common complaint with hfc's, is how raspy the exhaust sounds. Its most referenced to the sound of an M3!
