Default Installed my Labree test pipes finally!! Question??

I installed my Labrees finally. Install went well. I used new gaskets and checked for exhaust leaks....none found. Everyone's advice on using long extensions to get at nuts from top of engine and using jointed socket extensions is appreciated, made it much easier.

I really love the exhaust note, just sings. Popcharger, MD spacer, Labrees and Borla TD together is so sweet. Not too loud either unless I'm at WOT...then it'll bark at ya. LOL.

My questions is: Since no CEL came on, does this mean that my emissions are still fine? Has anyone had there car inspected with the Labree TP on? I am in Texas and the new inspection procedure is to connect a computer to the OBD II interface and check for codes. Something like that I think. Just had my inspection in December so if I have to swap OEM cats back on, no problem. Just curious. Thanks in advance.

im glad you like your Labree's, damn i sure do miss mine. But as for the smog... the reason you CEL is not flashing is because you have an '03 or '04. But that does NOT mean you will pass smog. You know all the gas you are smelling now?? Well, you're smog tech will be able to smell it too.

if your check engine light is not on, then you should pass. If your techs do it like they do here in massachusetts, they hook it up to the obd II adapter, run their program, and if all checks out ur good to go. It doesnt have to go on the exhaust machine thing unless your light is on.
in fact my friends turbo integra, passed for his sticker and he has no cat either.

the non-fouler trick will absolutly work as stupid as it is. Its funny how some $5 parts from autozone does the trick that some $100 complicated electronic devices attempt to do.

This question is best in a regional forum but...

Depends on the test. You will fail a sniffer test. For a OBDII read out, if the is no history of emissions codes, you should be fine.

SpeedRcr - I heard that you have to get the inspection done in the same county you reside in. I am not sure if true or not. I guess next December I'll try to find out. I may just go and try and if it fails I'll just swap the cats back on and retest.
