Default UR pulley squealing???

I recently installed the UR pulleys (crank, ac, water) on my car and when I turn on the heater it squeals really loud but once I turn the heater off it's fine. Anyone know what's the problem??

You have to tighten the belt

When you turn your heater on, see if your AC light (AC compressor turns on by default when you turn the heater on) is on when the squealing starts. If it does, your AC belt is loose. Try Tightening it up a little. If it still squeals, try using Goodyear Gatorback belts. I put a UR crank pulley on with Gates belts and it squealed like a *****. Changed my belts to the Gatorbacks and it killed my squealing problems.

your right, it's the AC. I turn off the ac lite and the noise was gone but once I turned on the AC lite, the squeal started up again. How do I tighten up the ac belt? I had this installed at a shop and I used the gates belt. I always thought the gatorbacks were known to stretch.

also, is the ac pulley the smaller one to the left (side of the battery)?

If you don't know which one is the A/C then you shouldn't do it yourself. Just bring it to the people who installed it or bring it to a local garage.

I don't mean to be a jerk but if you really don't know what an A/C compressor looks like then you shouldn't be turning any wrenches under the hood. If you over tighten the belt it is possible to damage the bearings in the compressor.

I assumed you were asking which pulley is the a/c.
