Default MREV installed and loving it...

Hello everyone,

Installed the MREV yesterday and all I have to say is "WOW". Honestly, I dont even need to dyno this thing. I can feel the difference just from a quick drive. This thing rocks, I recommend it for whoever has a REVUP motor that wants more power and torque. I'm not sure why but it pulls really hard even upto redline. Just wanted to share, sorry no pics of the install but I will take pics of the car today and the engine bay later.

MREV is the 287hp lower plenum on the 300hp REVUP motors with some porting, plus its got a 5/16" spacer and special gaskets. It gives tremendous torque and hp gains for the low torque REVUP motors.

Yesterday at Altered Atmosphere, MD I watched several 2006 dynos with the MREV and a couple of bolt-on mods. They were pulling 260 pounds of torque. Pretty impressive.

How long did it took you to install the MRev? Also in your opinion, you think it's worth to grab that MRev+ along with the MRev package? Thx in advance.

Took me about an hour, I threw the instructions down but picked it up for the correct torqing order for the plenum. The MREV is something you will cherish. The power and torque increase is incredible, more than any other mod other than a supercharger or turbocharger. It is worth every penny, plus your intake sounds mean, very mean .

i've heard that the mrev and mrev+ are good for rev-up motors, but the rev-up motors w/ FI get more power out of the rev-up lower plenums than the 287 hp lower plenum... is this true? cuz im thinkin about pickin up the mrev spacer but don't know if it will be a waist of money if im going FI later...

I dont have that problem because i'm staying N/A with this car. You might want to ask Tony @ motordyne, he's real cool and he'll answer all of your questions.

Yes you can, it works great. The kit comes complete with all the nuts and bolts you need plus all the spacers for the strut tower brace.

Here are a couple of people that recently dynod the stock REV-UP collector on a FI engine.
https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/175815-revup-lower-plenum-and-boost-on-287-engine-teh-suck.html

And weather you are FI or NA, the function of the MREV will be the same. What makes MREV perform better than the stock REV-UP collector is the tuning frequency (Hz) or RPM frequency.

The rev-up lower collector is simply tuned toooo high. It will work good for people like Richie (350Zlover) because he has a 8K+ RPM redline, but other than that the rev-up lower collector is out of tune for just about anything else.

tony... im a little confused

so for me (06 350z) the MREV and MREV+ will be beneficial whether or not I go FI right?

and the 287-hp lower plenum will give me more torque in lower rpms because the way the 300-hp lower plenum was built, i'll mostly have power in the higher RPMs? so if i somehow got my hands on a 287-hp lower plenum, i wouldn't need the MREV? I could just buy the 5/16" spacer and it would be the same effect?

Will this mod void the factory warranty? How would it work with my mods so far (Popcharger//Boral TD) ?
