Question Too early to install JWT Popcharger?

Is it OK to install the popcharger with only 800 miles on the car? Should I wait until the break in period is up? Thanks for the help.

I only have 180 miles on my car and I have the Pop Charger in my car. I don't think its a big deal, just as long as you follow the manual and don't go over 4,000 rpm in any gear for 1,200 miles.

increases air intake therefore creating more power.... some people have reported gaining 6.5 hp to the wheels, and ive seen some people claim 10.. but never seen dyno charts for the 10 but have seen dyno charts for 6.5. all the power gains come from up top

I'd wait, just incase there are any Factory Gremlins. The $Tealer will blame the mod.

Just wait to make sure everything is fine and no Teething problems.

Any pics of the popcharger?

Couple of years back someone did post up that dyno chart and it was for a gain of 11 rwhp not 10 ( average was 7-11 ). But haven't seen it since .I waited before I put mine in , but that's just me .

Hey 350ZephyR,

What part of San Diego you from?

I was in La Jolla. I played Golf at Singing Hills resort (Sychuan). I have a good buddy at Carlsbad. He showed us the sights.

Pop charger seems easy enough to swap back to the factory air box if car ever has to go back to the dealer for engine work. Should never affect warranty.

I've just put 1500 on mine but I am still waiting until around ~2k to pop it. I haven't had time since I've reached 1200 to get out and play and I want to hear & feel any differences once I pop it.

Agreed, this shouldn't affect the warranty in the least, but knowing dealer's can be pr1cks, it is nice to know that it is easy to swap the stock box. I went ahead and put the PC on at 500 miles. I will swap it if there are gremlims just to be safe.
