The amuse exhaust has the sickest tone I've ever heard.. I have a video clip of a Z with that exhaust gunning it, I still watch it every couple of days. Too bad I can't afford it!

I have stock exhuast.

Pro's: It's quiet, it's free, tips look good.

Con's: It's quiet and it's not loud.

Verdict: I need a Nismo!!!

DNX exhaust here...

Pros: Price ($160 shipped new in box), fit and finish, deep tone = loud

Cons: heavy droning in the cabin (price you pay), scared to put test pipes back on along with some headers (may be unbearably loud), little scrape on left canister from backing out of driveway (I'm lowered also).

I used to like the sound of the stock system, but the other day I heard one go by at Kroger, a PPW, and that "hollow" sound just didn't cut it. I have the NISMO, currently with Kinetix HF cats, before with stock cats (too quiet and restrictive - power loss city) before that with Xerd TP (great pipes - but it was just too loud with the NISMO) now I am considering the HKS or the Espelir. The Espelir I can get for about $400 less, has anyone run it with TTs??

exhaust pipes *are* hollow...all exhausts should sound "hollow" I don't really get what you're saying.

So basically you're saying you used to like the sound of the stock, and you don't like it anymore. Nothing wrong with changing your mind...

The stock sound I described as "hollow" meaning that wooooooh sound a stock z exhaust makes. Just don't know how else to describe it. I understand that exhaust pipes are hollow. Like your head

Stillen is deeper than the NISMO and louder but not much louder than stock at idle. I would assume a TD exhaust with TP's would allow you to hear it at idle but i dunno.

Nismo...very high quality and fits like a glove. Very little drone and quiet as stock when highway cruising.

I currently have nismo but really, really want the Stillen center exit, but can't find a sound clip anywhere. There seems to be a sound clip on everything but that.

SVRTechnologies 3" Dual and it is definately one of my favorite things on my car. Sound is incredible, full polished stainless from the manifolds back, 4 o2 bungs already welded in, eliminates the need for test pipes, made huge gains on my built motor JWT TT, and build quality is top notch. The only drawback I can come up with is that it's not compatible with catalytic converters. They are also coming out with a 2.5" version for the N/A & low boost crowd.

Do you forsee a problem with it in that it does not have a flex section?
