Sounds pretty good to me. After living w/ full nismo exhaust for about 10k miles, plus Stillen intake, KJR pulley and Kinetix V+ plenum, I installed Kinetix hiflo cats. After 3 days or so, the cats created a major change in the exhaust note, especially above 3k rpm. At first I didn't like it-raspy and loud-then got adjusted to it, and have come to like the sound; my point being, don't be hasty in your assessment/decision to sell. Live with it awhile, then decide.

Thanks for the advice, but when I pulled in the driveway just now, my roommates(girls) were getting ready to go out, and they said they were wondering why the house was vibrating. (jmaldonado lives in a 1920's bungalow).

This is also my second Z, and I have fell in love with the stock Z exhaust note. I wish there was a way to make that a little louder, but not LOUD. Maybe just replacing the y pipe?

I see it is now for sale. OK, your call. Whomever buys this exhaust, I would suggest replacing the OEM differential cover w/ the nismo finned cover since w/o the muffler the differential cover is fully exposed, and the the nismo cover looks soooo much better. Just my 2c. Good luck on the sale.

Sounds really cool! Very similar to the Pro-1 and RSR (looks similar too )

Though i can imagine it has some drone at highway speeds...

A vibrating house can be good or bad depending upon your location in the country and your location and current activity in the house. lol

Sorry for the digression from your intended purpose to sell--it just brought back memories of my misspent youth (washing machines on spin cycle come to mind). Anyway, I think it's a good-looking and good-sounding exhaust, and should sell quickly. If I wasn't happy w/ my current setup, I'd offer to buy.

Not all "roommates (girls)" like vibration. Some "roommates (girls)" prefer a vibration-free enviornment. It's a feminist thang.

I tryed it with silencers but it was still loud, and I couldnt stand the fact that I was killing the performance of the exhaust by plugging it up with some silencers that were ugly IMO. Performance was my first goal and sound second, and this exhaust didnt meet either one of those LOL! Not that the sound was bad at all, It was actually very good sounding but I didn't want to gradually lose my hearing over the next few months and the ear plugs were irritating my canals, I have heard that hearing aids have come a long way over the years! HA HA I could not even imagine what it would sound like with headers test pipes and Y-pipes! I bet a couple Turbos would quiet it down, maybe I should have picked up that Greddy kit.

Exclamation

By the way heres the guys car a couple days after he installed the exhaust I sold him. This is a BRAND NEW 2006 a couple weeks old, didnt even have plates yet. I'm working on swapping my tail lights for the new LED ones if they claim it as a total loss.

ok..drove around a bit more today. I am not sure if I am getting used to it or not, but the exhaust was slightly less annoying. My brother was able to come today to help me uninstall, so its looking like I will give it a week. If I still dont like it by next saturday, its coming off. If youre in Houston and thinking about getting this exhaust,PM me and we can meet up for you to hear it. Something I wish someone could have done for me.
