Question DNX exhaust SOUND CLIPS & Pics EDIT

I installed the DNX ($160/shipped) exhaust this morning, in about a hour. Wasnt hard at all with a little help. Well, it is LOUD. It has been awhile since I had exhaust on a car, Maybe thats why I think it is loud. Today I decided to keep the exhaust. Its growing on me, it really does have a nice sound. I guess I was just used to the stock z sound. I think the guy still has a few systems left. They are a steal for $160 shipped. PM me for more info. The muffler shop my friend works at could not believe I only paid $160. They said it was of good quality. The guys there look at exhaust all day, so I trust them.

Pics ( sorry they are big)

Sounds very nice. Is it just the muffler or do you have pipes as well? Where did you get it? Do you have a part number?

ehh.. there's no muffler.. there's the reason why it's so loud. that's dirt cheap price.

A week is longer than I could stand it. Had mine on a total of maybe 48 hours before I found someone to buy it. Yes it sounds good but it is too loud to describe with my Y-pipe installed as well. Excellent quality only issues were, the tubing rested on the M-brace (slightly oval the tubing in a press problem solved) and the right tip hung a little low (Bend the hanger pointing downward slightly problem solved) and the Black Evaporator Shield (cut the corner off and apply a strip of heat reflective tape problem solved) Tommorow I will be Fabricating my own Y-pipe back exhaust All mandrel 3" bends Tig welded with a unique muffler and everything will be ceramic coated black, I have my fingers crossed hoping it sounds good, look for a write up to follow.

If I get the itch, I may take it off in the morning...It was easy to install, just get some silicone spray for those rubber hangers. I had to remove one in the back right to make removing the stock muffler easier. I am not sure if my ears (or finace can take it). I just got off of the free way, and at 70 it wasnt that loud, no drowning.

I though closeoutman posted somewhere that there are inserts that can be purchased to quiet the exhaust down. Anyone know?

I'm sure you can put some universal silencers in there.
