DNX exhaust SOUND CLIPS & Pics
#61
I really want this exhaust catback. I was wondering if it will fit my 06 g35 coupe just fine? Is the sound clips with a ypipe or with stock cats? I love the sound its hella loud :P...im always on the freeway so it doesnt matter how loud it is. I came from a LOUD *** stang before I got my G. Can someone tell me where I can order it? thanks

I like the tips, but im not really feeling the big cans, or how the piping looks. I like how its stainless steel and I think it will look good with my greddy rear lip. I wonder how much hp loss N/A z's have with this 3inch exhaust?

probably no lose and maybe a little gain since the y pipe is still the stock size its honestly not gonna make much of a difference in the performance area.

Well I guess I'll throw my little review in here as well.
Just got the exhaust today and installed it as soon as I got home (ANXIOUS)
Followed CUxtophers install write up and everything went VERY SMOOTH. Everything lined up nicely and between popping tops on beer and explaining to my female neighbor (fine azz hell) what I was doing it took me all of 2 hours to install.
Ordered the system for $160 Monday and recieved it today, obviously. Nicely packaged and the stainless was brilliantly polished.
As far as the tone, it's very deep and aggressive. Funny thing, it's not as loud outside as it is inside the car. Inside, you hear a very deep rumble when getting on it and you also feel the vibration from that deep rumble as well. This is what I'm going to have to get use to. I'm heavy in the dating scene right now so I'm curious what my next date will be like when we roll out in the Z. I guess the ladies will just have to understand that this IS a sports car.
Over all I'll try it out for a week or 2 under different circumstances ie. driving to work or the grocery store, and see if this is something I want to deal with in the long run on a daily basis.
To sum it up, I DO like this exhaust!!! Also, I just recently removed my cracked test pipes and reinstalled my OEM cats. I can only imagine what this thing would sound like with the pipes back on. WOOOOO WEEEEE can you say ear plugs. If I do decide to stay with this exhaust my next investment will be a nice sound system

so im guessing the radio is useless now.. or u just keep the volume at "25" or somthin if u wanna listen to some music while driving. How does the exhaust sound under normal driving conditions, aside from lettin the car rip? any loss in performance? Can anyone install this exhaust, what did u use to get the car up, jus a regular jack? I never installed an exhaust before, but since i am ordering this over the weekend, i'll be installing it next week.

well for those that can't hear what this exhaust sounds like just search Top Speed Pro 1, it should come up with some threads that have video's in it. This exhaust looks and sounds very similar to that one. Its loud, raspy and will definetely grab some attention when u drive by. I will be meeting up with a friend today to hear it in person, and then most likely order it this weekend.

Attention?? Yeah you'll get plenty of that but not trying to grab the wrong attention is the key (1-time aka police). I have not heard a bit of "raspiness" from this exhaust either. I think I can get use to it quick, being the attention ***** I am and all

I dont mind loud cars, i love them. Im guessing the exhaust will be much quieter when cruising at that speed and not smashing the pedal.. btw sorry for all the questions.. im so hyped to get this thing.

Okay just sat in my friends car with this exhaust on, he had test pipes too.. OMG its loud. the car was shaking, it was hard to hear him at times.. wow this exhaust would be great for someone with two cars.. but since im driving to school daily with this car, i might lose my hearing by the end of the year... so im not sure anymore.. but it sounds bad *** when u hear it rip.
