Default Muffler suggestions please?

I think I'm ready to jump into the custom exhaust realm... I already know i'm going for an X pipe w/ resonators to a mid pipe w/ resonators to a muffler, true dual setup. I need to know which mufflers are good. I like the sound of the Injen exhaust, HKS exhaust, SVR Tech exhaust...so I need some suggestions on mufflers. Let me know which are good and where i can get them! Thanks guys
Rajan

I've never heard the SFR, but I was speaking with someone that has one and he says it is too loud. Someone on this board sold his cause it was to loud. The SFR does not have resonators.

Guys, the hks has two different HKS carbon ti mufflers. Can we go with the smaller ones? if we do, whats different? Do we have to get the huge cannisters?

I'm also going with a custom setup (hopefully). I was thinking dual 2.5" with x pipe. Why do we need resonators?

If so, how many and where to buy from? Do we need them if we have oem cats? BTW is there ANY way to take off the tips that come with the hks carbon ti muffler? I know they are riveted on, but that doesnt mean you cant take them off..right?

Thanks,

ravi

Will a resonator in the earlier part of the system, like lets say at the X pipe end help get rid of rasp? Also, i heard mufflers do most of the quieting down? If this isn't true, then having 2 resonators on each side w/ o a muffler..would it sound badass? (just wondering).

Get some Aero Turbine mufflers. I believe that is the brand that SVR uses and they sound amazing and have some sort of weird inside that is actually supposed to help scavange exhaust flow therefore increasing performance!

i spoke to SVR and he suggested the same. I was thinking about getting aeroturbine resonators and HKS cans.

I have only resonators on my custom set up. There are actually 4 resonators, 2 on each pipe. One is mid and the other is closer to the tips. Sounds cool, but a little loud. Some drone in the 2-3k range. My setup has no x pipe, just two straight pipes coming out from the exhaust.. I'm thinking the x pipe would help get rid of the drone..or i could add a muffler? Where could i buy the aeroturbine resonators?
