Helix or Crawford cats?
Is helix coming out with a newer version? the old ones seems to be discontinued.. even though you can still get one. Helix is cheaper and prettier, but crawford seems to last longer..
Gruppe-S told me Helix no longer makes their cats due to low demand.
I had a set of these on my car for almost a year before the pass. side pipe cracked along the weld at the bottom of the cat. They performed well and made a very noticeable performance gain, but I've taken them off the car as I'm sick of dealing with all these exhaust problems.
Not to hijack this thread, but I may put these up for sale for cheap since the one cat needs to be welded up, the other is perfectly fine.

I am trashing a set of Helix cats for cracking reasons as well. I can't see what the difference between Crawford and Kinetix is, so I am going with the less expensive Kinetix cats.

i guess there's no demand for helix - places have been out of stock on them for like over a year now....back in feb. 05 they were suppsoed to be making some new dna version 2 model, but it's been well over a year and......nothing.

My Helix have lasted and held up perfectly with my OEM exhaust manifolds and Injen exhaust. I got mine as soon as they were available, but it seems like you have answered your quesiton since they are no longer readily available. Just go with the Crawford. No matter what cats you have there is a chance of them cracking if your exhaust is not able to flex enough where it needs to.

fyi, even though u could pick up cats cheaper on flea-bay, i wouldn't - you have no idea if yo're getting an old inventory product or not (and the older cats are known for definite cracking, which has been addressed in newer models)
