Considering getting the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust for the z, seem like a good choice, any opinions?

 

Don't know about the Z, but I had a Magnaflow cat back exhaust on my 04 Durango with the 5.7 liter Hemi and it was way too loud at about 2000 rpms. I had to get rid of it after a week because of the droning sound it made. It sounded real good outside of the truck though.

I bet a Magnaflow exhaust will sound good on the Z because you are talking about a six cylinder engine rather than an eight. Just make sure its not too loud.

 

I have heard a couple of custom systems using Magnaflows and they sound awsome. Probably the best sounding.

 

i have a custom magnaflow setup with multiple magnaflow resonators to adjust the sound...love the setup

 

I think there are better/alternate choices that deserve consideration given the high price of the Magnaflow kit.
