Default nismo catback + popcharger = effect on rpm?

hey guys, just installed my exhaust and popcharger and i love the sound. i heard that these mods can affect your rpm and lower it. is this true?

prior to the mods, i ran at 3100-3200 rpm driving 80mph on 5th gear. with the exhaust and popcharger was the same, but 3500 rpm driving 90mph on 5th. kinda confused about the range, etc.

other than this concern, i'm really loving the setup like all the nismo catback+popcharger owners out there. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

No. Engine speed and rpm are unaffected by intake and exhaust mods (didn't some else post the same question today?). What you would hope to do is get to 80 mph more quickly. Or accelerate from 0 to redline more quickly.

that's right. i did read about the aftermarket headers after i posted this thread. how long does take for the ecu to adjust to the new mods usually?

thanks.

Give the ECU 100 miles to learn the new mods. With just intake and exhaust I doubt that you will have any problem with the air:fuel ratio.
