Default POPCHARGER, gains?

Popchargers are around 110-130 for just a filter. Is it really worth it? and is someone willing to sell theirs?

if you think its worth paying that much for some just improved sound (I do) then get it. I got it used from the classified section, you should check it out.

To buy things new that is the price you'll pay. I sold mine for $85 shipped. From time to time, you will find it for sale anywhere from $65 - $90 used.

From a technical standpoint, its good for 5RWHP, which is not a lot. I think a lot of it has to do with the stock filter/design being so damn good in the first place.

As someone has already said, buy it for a little gain, sound and looks. You won't regret it even at $100-$110.

Members who have the pop charger say yes.
Members who do not have the pop charger say no.

It boggles the human mind.

There are a few members reporting their cars shut off at random after installing a pop charger.

David is right. Most people who have the pocharger are happy with it. My car has never stalled with it on, but I own a 5AT (installed JAN06). It does sound better, does help a little power-wise (it all adds up), and is easy to maintain. I think it's a good first mod if you are going NA. It's also one of the cheapest unless you're going to buy one of those turbonators:-) The next cheapest thing would be a plenum spacer. Also you could spend the same, give or take on grounding wires. Go ahead and post a question on that and see what kind of response you get, lol.

I highly recommend it. Best $100 I spent. Helped out with my other mods.

I think it's the first mod a Z driver should do. It's an easy DIY install and you do feel and hear the difference immediately.

i just installed mine on friday, and recomend it for the sound primarily, you do feel a little difference going from a dirty stock air filter to a fresh popcharger. I love it

I can't beleive everyone is talking about the sound?!?! The power gains are there! The popcharger is a supporting mod. When you add it with other mods you'll fell the power gains. You can't fell 5whp but you can fell 20whp. The Popocharger, imo, is a must for N/A Modding.

you can hear the intake sucking in air for one, and @ wot it sounds deep and aggressive. the exhaust is louder due to the increase in flow. Sounds great

Can't beleive we're now promoting the PopCharger sound over performance.

Not just saying you but everyone. Come'on guys, if you bought they car just for sound you're missing the point of driving/oweing a Z car.
