Popcharger or AEM CIA?
Popcharger or AEM CIA? Any insight would be appreciated. Looking for simplicity of installation, sound, and noticeable hp gains? Thanks.

I've had both...
simplicity of installation
* Popcharger goes right in using stock tubing. AEM requires it's own tubing so everything stock has to come out. There was some finesse to get the filter in place as well. I didn't need to jack my car but it was tricky.
sound
* AEM sounds way better to me. Much louder at WOT and more agressive. The JWT pretty much just gives you a little "pssst" sucking noise when you accelerate.
noticeable hp gains
* Neither. The JWT seems to have the best "proven" gains of like 4-6HP but you won't really notice any difference in the car's performance with either intake. It's just the sound that you'll notice.

ive heard both and i think the popcharger sounds better...its obviously subjective. i went with the popcharger for its proven power gains and ease of install/changing it out if i want to go back stock or forced induction.

The Popcharger works better with future induction mods like a spacer, new upper plenum, or moddified lower plenum.
Long Tube CAI's are no good when combined with other induction mods.
So i say Popcharger, or just get a aftermarket drop-in replacement filter like a K&N, Blitz, Nismo, Amsoil, or Green Air Filter.

AEM's doesnt produce any more proven gains, and even still, perhaps if it did make 2-3 more hp, just look at the price difference between the two, and ease of installation, then decide if its still worth it.

I don’t agree with you fully. I’m not just saying this because I am a pop charger owner. Half throttle you can hear a psssst but after 4k at WOT it growls, and sounds a lot more aggressive.

Having installed AEM and JWT's ill have to say that the popcharger is obviously the easiest to install, hands down. Plus its the best performing intake out there AND its cheap?? Come on now, you pick!

I just put in my Popcharger this weekend at the same time as my Nismo Catback. I looked so damn foolish hanging my head out the window trying to hear it!! But I could while inside, took about 20 min to install, my sister could have done it I think. Does sound really nice in the upper RPM's. Oh and its alot cheaper than AEM

When I then popped in the JWT, I began to hear my exhaust at WOT.
