Sounds like a leak.
Check/retighten all the bolts on the top of the plenum.
Mine loosened off a LOT after I installed my AAM.

The same thing happened with mine, so I tightened the bolts, but it still happens. I checked for leaks, but could not feel any. I have no clue whats going on.

tighten the bolts.....drive the car...then shut her off...let it sit a minute or two...restart and that should clear up the issue

Tried that. It still does not solve the problem. Personally I am so sick of the problem, I am about to take off the plenum spacer and get a crawford plenum.

what do u mean by bog at idle? I thought bog was when your car is reving but the car isnt really moving and it feels like your car has hit the rev limiter and the car is jerking.

U might want to check for leaks. Tighten the bolts with a torque wrench to about 100lbs on the outside and 60lbs on the inside. Also make sure the rubber piece surrounding the oil cap is clear and not under the top of the plenum.

Change the middle botton bolt for a short one and I bet that will solve your leak and your idle issue!

at idle (when the car is stopped at a light etc.) the car revs between 500 and 1200 rmps, bogging down and up. It can't keep a steady idle. This only happens once in a while.

dont tighten the spacer down with a torgue wrench. Those bolts break and strip easily. Instructions with my spacer said HAND TIGHTEN ONLY!

Default aam spacer

make sure you didnt catch that little rubber funnel shaped thing that surrounds the oil filler. if you dont pull it back with your finger when you place the spacer on the lower plenum it will be pinched between the spacer and the lower plenum. i did this but noticed before i started the car,but not before all bolts were tightened(naturally) hope it helps!

William,
I actually got my spacer installed at your shop, so I would not know if the gasket is installed properly. At first within a week, the bolts were so loose they were about to fall out. So I tightened them. but I am still getting problems. Anyways I spoke to someone at the shop and next week I will come by to get it looked at. Just sucks because gas is so expensive and you all are so far away.
