Mrev2 on Revup...
OK, took some smaller sized pics and used another host. I went to B & T Motorsports, on their dynapack, and was a little surprised at the low numbers. According to the techs though, what we saw at baseline was consistent with other Z's and G's run there. Apparently despite it being a Dynapack, they aren't using the same calibration factors as say Church's, lol. Anyway, take 'em for what they are, a measure of gains.
On both charts, the top 2 lines are post V2/spacer install. The strong blue line on the preinstall baselines is the 3rd run, I had 'em let me disconnect battery and pump brakes to see if it does reset the ecu. Looks like it does to me.
Ah, and the 3rd run from the top (post-install) is not posted. We ran it in 5th gear but all others were in 4th so I didn't want to show an orange with apples.
Here's hp/tq:

and tq/afr:

I'll get some install shots and run shots up later. The baby needs to get picked up now.

from what your graphs show, IT WORKS!!!!
I hope we see similar results on more "revups"!!!
My MREV2 gets here tomorrow. I already have the MREV+5/16" spacer, and I love it. It looks like this modded lower plenum will give me some more!!!!

You're right, the numbers we got from Church's are bullsh!t but at least the gains are for real.
I'm impressed with your gains... I had a feeling the spacer would be the key.
Might I suggest attaching the images to the thread, that way if your image server goes down people can still see the dynos.

@ QuadCam: I'll be curious to see your pre/post dynos. I was all set to get the MRev+ setup when the V2 came around. I don't know if it's better or not, but it gave me what I would have been hoping for if I could've got the +.
@ Wired 24/7: Ah, attachments. Lol, most forums I've frequented don't want to commit the storage space and b/w to such things so I didn't even try. I'll get the charts and some "in progress" shots attached when I get a chance to get back on the computer I have those on. Re: Church's, heh, I wasn't quite trying to call BS, I didn't even realize you had posted your's from there off the top of my head. I just wanted to manage people's reactions here and I knew that place posted some of the highest numbers mod for mod that I've ever seen. It is all relative though, as long as you can reliably see mod/tune effects it's all good. And yeah, I was with you on the spacer thoughts. I knew it was pretty much needed with MRev+ and revup, so I thought it should be the same. I gotta admit I'm a bit relieved though. It would have sucked to spend 3 hours in a shop only to drive home and un-do all the work.

mikead,
I won't be doing a pre/post dyno. Sorry! There isn't a dyno anywhere near me. (at least 1.5 hours away)
And, unfortunately, work keeps me busy...busy enough not to take off a day from work.
I guess I do the butt dyno!!!!

Heh, butt dyno is good. I gotta say, I'm basically feeling what a lot of the MRev+ guys were feeling. Great throttle response, smoother through the band, and a noticeable oomph when the car is told to go, with a little deeper growl. Unfortunately I haven't been able to really go ***** out, straights only 'cause we got a good amount of rain today (note the dirty car), but tomorrow should be nice for a drive.
Anyway, attaching the previously posted chart and a couple of others. Got one of in between baseline and the V2 install, one during install, and one during a run, post-V2 I think.
Ah, and FWIW, the baseline was popcharger and Nismo exhaust only, so pretty stock.

Excellent gains Mike! Now thats the kind of gains we all want to bolt on.
That's definitly among the best of what was seen on the MREV+.
Its not the highest, but then again, many more MREV+'s have been dynod.
One thing that looks different is you seem to have even more area under the TQ curve at the very low end.
It must feel much nicer to drive with gains like that.

lol, yup Tony, I wish they all made such a noticeable change to the feel of car. I heard the other 2 mods I have more than I felt 'em, so this is nice. And yes, definately some noticeable pull down low, of course in the early gears it's big, but I noticed on the highway on the way home that 6th was giving me some more response at cruising speeds/rpms. Just outstanding feel all around.
Mikead 99,
your dyno is a revup motor with mrev2 and spacer?
Has anyone done a dyno with mrev+ and spacer then change to mrev2 with spacer?
I think us revup motor with mrev+ and spacer owner want to know the difference between them side by side.

are you saying that the mrev2 for the revup may change in design? Or you will stick with what you have, but just do more dynos to confirm the gain/lose.

I have an 05 G35 Sedan w/ revup obviously and installed mine today, v2 and the 5/16 iso thermal spacer, No before and after dyno though just not enough time in my schedule.
My uncalibrated butt dyno says whoa as did my 2 year old daughter from the back seat everytime I put it to it. Now if a 2 year old can feel the difference there is something there.
The documentation was easy to follow. I bought a torgue wrench for the jb and suggest anyone else planning this to do the same. The plenum is noticably cooler to the touch and when under power it sounds great. The car settled into the idle very quickly and every time I stopped it get right back to idle and holds there like a gold medal gymnist sticks a dismount.
I did the install this mornig before the kids and my wife woke up
. It took me about 1.5 hours start to finish. I was missing one of the 70mm upper plenum bolts so count your parts before you get started. The locktite that tony provided was plenty for the job, BTW thanks Tony I forgot tobuy some at the parts store.
Since it is too early for beer I will double up on my intake later today at the Florida G35 Club mini-meet in Lakeland.
Oh I feel like I can get out of first gear better not. Before the install, maybe it was just me, I was a little herky jerky when taking off in first. Not sure if my foot was recalibrated when I did the ecu reset
but it certainly is a welcome change.
