Default Mrev2 on Revup...

If someone has recently gotten the Mrev2 with a 5/16 spacer, please post your dynos! Tony says he will rebate $100 for the people who do so do it! Thanks

I was seriously considering being a guinea pig for this, but then the sale ended before I even had a chance.

I don't get why there wasn't a dyno run for this setup...

Maybe it's because that set up doesn't do anything for the rev up motor???

I'll tell you guys exactly what happened.

MREV 2 was dyno'd by itself on Tony's 06 Z. It made insane torque in the midrange. Like roughly 20-25 lb ft. But then up top (after 6k rpm) it totally died and lost something like 20 hp compared to stock.

There was not time to install a spacer that day since we had already done like 3 mrev 2 installs (plus my 5/16" spacer install) and the dyno place was closing.

My guess is the next time tony goes out to a dyno place, this is the combo he will test.

As of right now, it seems the only proof (in my mind) of MREV 2 performance is on the 287hp motor. 300hp owners are better off waiting for more results.

Wired24/7,

I have been meaning to ask you this question . . . Is the "05 SB Touring 6MT" portion of your sig correct? Is this the car which was tested with the MREV 2? If so, wouldn't your engine be a RevUp engine?

My car is not revup.

The only 05 revup is Track and 35th Anniversary Edition IIRC

I hope thats not the case, because that would totally suck. I remember the MREV+ and the 5/16" spacer made that kind of torque in the mid-range w/o that huge loss on the top-end.

Some Questions:

1) So there are no "official" dynos of the MREV 2 available yet?

2) I am looking on the Motordyne site and see MREV and MREV +, these are the old lower plenums?

3) Also, in the tests for the spacer. C and K are Crawford and Kinetix, am I correct?

4) Finally, I have an 03 287HP Z, would the MREV 2 and 5/16 spacer make power for me or is the MREV aimed at REVUP blocks only? Would I still loose top end (5600-6600) with this combo (MREV2+5/16 Spacer).

Thanks for any input.

There werent any MREV2's available 2 months ago. ...Besides, it must be installed on the dyno.

Anyone interested must contact me first with their test proposal.

Hey wired. Can yu explain what the red and blue plot represent. I havebeen following this but not very experienced in reading the dyno's and lack an understanding on what the color codes are and such.

Thank you in advance.
