Default Stillen Exhaust Comments

This weekend I was driving and saw a REV-UP G35 Coupe with an exhaust. Based on my quick glance, it looked nearly identical to the Stillen offered on the 350Z.

So first question is, does the Stillen exhaust for the G35C look the same as the one for the 350Z?

Second question, do they sound the same?

The reason I ask is because it sounded AWESOME. It wasn't too loud, it wasn't raspy at all. When he was idle'ing/cruising it was silent, but when he gave it some gas it sounded PURRRRFECT. It's a tad louder than the regular 350Z exhaust, but really didn't seem much louder than the stock G35C exhaust (which seems louder compared to the 350z).

I just want to make sure I'm considering the right exhaust. Now I'm going to have to hunt a Z owner with one down and go for a ride and make sure I can live with it.

Thx

It appears via my research that the exhaust is the same.

That said, current owners of the Stillen exhaust please chime in with your feedback. Any regrets? I've had a lot of cars with exhaust and find most to be pretty annoying and not worth it, but this one really did sound better than stock, which is hard to do on these cars.

Stillen is one of the best N/A designs for exhaust IMO. The only thing it's missing is flex joints, but stillen claims you don't need them. If you like the sound go for it 100%

Well I know for power the sitllen tis the best design. I had the stillen x-pipe/cat/exhaust on my 04 4dr G35 and it was just nuts loud. Although they say it's much louder on the sedan than the coupe/Z. The droning on the G35 Sedan was way too much to handle.

How's the droning on the Z?

The droning doesn't exsist on the Z at all. I think it sounds great.

No regrets at all. Sounds awesome with the RT CATS and you will notice the llittle gain. Just do not accept any scrated up pipes. The dual tips are for the G35 and single is for the 350z, looks wise that is.

So you only noticed little gains from the RT cats?

I thought the Stillen 350z exhaust (pictured on the first post) was dual tip as well?

Sweet, looks awesome.

Now where's the best place online to get them? Stillen.com pretty much charges MSRP which I know isn't the best price.

Thx

well, personally, with exhausts, I go used. there's not much you can mess up with them (as long as the previous user is at all considerate). and for instance, I got my Stillen for $500 and the guy even installed it for me.

They are in a way but the slanted tip looks better on the 350Z
