Default Plenum Spacer

I have an 06 track. How easy is it to install a Plenum Spacer? Will it void my warrenty? I see everyone either suggests this or a Pop Charger for first mods.

make sure to torque every single bolt correctly, otherwise your asking for trouble.

yea, im not sure about the warranty but the plenum spacer and intake are great mods that are cheap and have relatively good power gains with easy installation. Call the dealer.

the plenum spacer is supposed to be a do it yourself mod.. most dealerships won't know the difference if you put that on and even if they do, it will not void your warranty. popcharger is also a good mod and is very easy..

i'll be installing MREV2 today hopefully (if it comes in) which is like installing a spacer so i'll let you know how it goes

Download the instructions from motordyne.com. If you are familiar with the terms and tools, do it yourself. If the instructions sound like Greek, pass on installation.

Thanks guys. I think i am going to look a little further into it. I already have a torque wrench, our wheels need it.

I see mixed resonses about the fornt stru tower brace, do i need to remove this?

I read that on the motordyne web page. Thanks. i have 1 other question.

I read in one of these threads that it will not make a difference for the 06 engine, that true?

Thanks for all the replies. I know this subject is talked about allot, but no clear answers

It just will not make as big a difference...the air flow issue to the front cylinders in the earlier models was "corrected" in the 06. I am going to do one also and I have an 06, I have seen on this forum others get good gains from them on an 06....i guess we'll see...

Apparently, the mail man dropped off my MREV2 without me knowing it.. so it's sitting here next to me..

I just can't install it because I don't have an inch-lb torque wrench.. also waiting for my car to cool down..

Tony said that it shouldn't be too hard installing it yourself.. At a relaxed pace, it should take 1.5 hrs to do.. 2 hrs if your doing it with a friend, drinkin a few beers and talking.. 45 min for a pro like him..

I installed mine without a torque wrench and had no problems at all. It's been three days and no air leaks or broken bolts. I just used the nut driver that he recommended in the directions and used leather gloves. Btw, I have a 04 g35 6mt if that makes any difference with the bolts.

Didn't you have to remove the strut bar before the installation and then remount afterward with washers to allow fitment?

i would not touch them bolts with out a torque wrench. Certain bolts i would not pay any attention to the recomended torque setting, but those i would.

i think i am going to go ahead and get the spacer for the 06. Cheap mod. I want an HKS, but 1500 is crazy.
