Can you say "thread-jack"?

Ok, I'm looking for a new exhaust. On a 5-point scale, let's say the Z is, stock, about a 2 on the loudness scale. I'm looking for something either 3 or 4, about the same as a 360 Spider is stock (or just a bit louder than a Carrera). However, I don't just want sound but I want some nice gain!

I know Borla provides some nice gains for the Z, but I'm not sure about the sound. I haven't heard anything to convince me on that! The HKS sounds good to me so far, but my worries are that it's 500 dollars more than the Borla and I can't imagine it providing too much gain. HKS says the piping is only 60mm, that can't be much more than 2.25"?

Can someone help me out with a nice exhaust, please n' thanks?

with all exhaust, you will get pretty much the same hp gain. I had Borla and sold it. I have HKS now and very happy with it. The sound is more exotic. The design is better (compare to Borla). Best of all, you don't have to pay $1500 for HKS. It's only $1279 shipped anywhere in the US.

I paid $1500...so "only" $1279 is right.

1200ish for the HKS is cheap for a true dual exhaust for ANY type of car...
