Default Headers are on, but ........... help please!

Headers are on the car, but I now have a problem.

My "VDC Off" light is on and so is the "SLIP" light. The steering wheel is also at a 45 deg angle to the right, even when driving in a straight line!

When I start her up, there are no problems, no lights, but the minute I stick her in drive and pull away, both lights come on and the sterring wheel moves to the right and stays there.

Any suggestions please. Do I need to re-set the ECU?

Note: the car sounds and feels great with the headers on. The headers are Topspeed.

You put the steering shaft back together in the wrong orientation hence the wheel angle. The car has vdc which has a sensor in the steering column. if you turn the steering wheel around w/o it attached to the steering rack, you can damage it (wiring/sensor in column). You MUST refer to the shop manual and realign the parts.

Headers have nothing to do with VDC - not that I am aware of.

Steering wheel position is adjustable. Set the front wheels straight. Remove the coupler above. Set the steering wheel straight. You may have to turn the upper linkage a bit. Install coupler.

the steering shaft has to be undone to fit the left side header in. as mentioned above, when the car starts moving, the steering sensor thinks the car is turning, but the vdc and yaw sensor say it is going straight.

Thanks guys, just got a call back from Nissan (they did not fit the headers) and the car is A-OK.

exactly what was said above, they did not put everything back properly. Oh well, we live and learn.
