Default SES question

First of all, I have searched on this. Just wondering if anyone with high flow cats has had the SES light go off? I know with test pipes it has happened. Yesterday the SES light came on, but it has been a couple of months since I have modded. The only thing that has happened, is that I ran over a plastic bag, and it was stuck to my Y-pipe. I had the light cleared, but it came back this morning. No decrease in power, and nothing seems wrong.

Thanks.

You need to go get the code. You can't know a priori that the hfc caused the SES light.

I should have mentioned that. When I had it cleared, he said it was an 02 sensor code. I should have gotten the number when he did it.

it can happen to HF cats as well as TP. My resonated TP isn't suppose to throw a light (according the the manufact. site) but it did. I used a non fouler technique and it went away. If you're sure it's the cats, do it.

Ok, so I did the non fouler technique Thursday, and the SES light came back on today. I am not sure what to try next. I think I do have a slight exhaust leak, but that wouldn't have anything to do with the SES light, would it?

How are you clearing the codes? If you are doing the pedal method or clearing with a obd2 scanner try the overnight 12 hr neg. battery terminal disconnect. That is the only method that truely re-set my ecu.

I cleared the codes with an obd2 scanner, and the technosquare method. haven't tried the battery disconnect yet. I did get the code. It shows 2, but read the same thing. P2A03 02 Bank Sensor 1 range/performance. Has anyone had this code, or can someone tell me what it is?

Thanks.
