Default Thumbs up to William and Altered Atmosphere...Plenum Spacar success!

I'm still a noob here and to the 350z however, my experience with AAM was great. Thanks to William for the tour of your facility and the education on 350z's.

I purchased and had my AAM angled plenum spacer installed 2 days ago. I did not notice a difference in the power...however I am not doubting the modification.

My Z only has 2k miles on it and so I am still not used to it...to me the car is just overall powerful. Based on dyno-proven results and forum member testimonials I am confident that this plenum spacer did its job.

I highly reccomend AAM to anybody. Great service and clean work!

William mentioned that the engine might sound louder but I honestly heard no difference. If it does make the engine sound louder it is not much if at all. I like the fact that it is a quiet and "stealthy" modification!

And so far I agree that you can't go wrong with their product!
Their service is even better.

Your joking right?

+1 on the AAM products. The AAM spacer is the stealthiest spacer out there imo, for those wanting to keep the stock look and engine cover/STB Id recommend it...

BLKroadster-FYI-because I see your new and your probobly young and/or not that knowledgable. Dont add up the "claims" from 3 parts and expect to see that. With full bolt-ons and no tune or an average mail in flash people see 10-25whp over stock, thats it. If you think your gonna get 30whp with an intake, spacer and ecu this isnt the car for you. Likely expect 10whp or so with the mods you listed.

I honestly don't mean to pee on your parade bro, but going on and on about a product that did nothing perceptible for your car's performance, combined with you admitting that you are new to the Z, doesn't exactly make me want to run out and buy it. When someone does such a stroke job on a vendor, more often than not, the product is bogus. I am not knocking AAM, I know nothing about them, but the flavor of your post would make me more than a little weary.

i sold my aam spacer due to continuous leakage problems on those top bolts...i hope you have better luck than i did

i am not knocking aam because their customer service was excellent...they do add power and do not require an aftermarket strut bar

another alternative is the Motordyne line of plenum spacers. i believe part of
the difference between AAM and Motordyne is the AAM spacer is angled while
the Motordyne is not. both will/should fit with stock strut. i just upgraded to
a JIC Magic strut tower and still clears with no problems or hood rub.

BLKroadster. one thing you gotta understand is that hp doesn't stack. by
that i mean each mod's claimed gains don't stack to make a larger gain.
also different mods have different affects based on existing mods you have
in place.

WTH!?!? Will didn't give me a tour when I went there!!! Oh I'm so ticked now!!!!

lol j/k

AAM is cool, the guys are knowlegable and products are good from what I can tell. I've had a few hiccups (as Alberto knows from my last post with the Dyno and what someone told me which was apparently wrong) but hey, people make mistakes and we're all here to learn about our cars so I don't make bold comments or knock someone for telling me wrong info, well, not too much. lol

Plus they let me be a test car, woohoo! I'm getting high flow cats from them by the end of the week!

Wait, that wasn't a shameless plug for the shop was it? lol

Undrgnd- If you don't like my comments dont respond to the thread let alone read the whole thing.

I posted because i was impresed with the part and the service. And I'm a noob to the 350z....not to cars so Im not a moron...I've tuned a 318i that could had muscle cars their a$$e$.

Furthermore, my goal here was not to inspire you to buy the product. And it seems as if you may be more of a noob then me if you haven't heard the 4 million accounts of people swearing by this and other spacers. Why don't you search before posting and you'll see some dyno sheets.

I hope I don't sound rude...I just don't understand the intent of your comments and they sound too negative for my liking for no reason.

^^^^ Oh no, you don't sound rude or like a noob at all. You tuned a 318 that could HAND muscle cars their a$$es? I guess that makes you an expert - my apologies. And I'm sorry I responded to your thread since I didn't understand your comments - nobody ever does that here. I'm also sorry that my comments were too negative for your liking - how could I ever do that? And you got to use the "Search noob" edict... Wow! Lighten up Goober.

the spacer is really felt from 5500rpm to redline. Without the spacer I could feel the power dropping significantly at higher rpms, with the spacer the engine just revs like butter up till the end. That is what I remember noticing, and it's worth every penny.

the guy is just excited like we once were... let him have his 15mins worth of joy

i did the cai, AAM spacer, headers, HFCs and exhaust for performance, a learning experience while installing them and just for fun. the spacer and exhaust are my favorite mods to date the car sounds awesome throughout the powerband inside and out!

sorry the AAM spacer never worked out for you RW... i've had my spacer on the car for over a year now and loving it. the steel/rubber washer from ACE worked beautifully for those top 6 bolts.
