Default Injen ses and helix test pipe! wow!!

I just got this set up finished (non resonated)...it sounds so good...amazing! When im in the car though it sounds different than if your outside...between 3800-4300 it sounds a little raspy...from inside it sounds like like a deep ricer (lol)..But only between there, after it and before it sounds deep and mean as hell..ppl say it sounds great from outside...does anyone with this set up have the same raspy sound between that rpm? and my test pipe was used, does it still have to settle in with my car?

I had the Helix TP, Topspeed Headers and the Injen exhaust and it did sound aweful IMHO. Thats why I am currently running the stock cats with Injen exhaust. I also thought the setup sounded too much like a Civic. I should have some sound clips of me revving the car. Email me at slpknt73@bellsouth.net and I will send you the sound clips if I can find them. If I cant find the ones of my car, I shold be able to find one of a G that had the same exhaust work done. I will be able to email clips out after about 4cst today.

On a side note, I am currently working on a project that Strife350z did with his Injen except I am carrying it 1 step further. I am going to be installing Xerd test pipes(non-resonated) and a Magnaflow X Pipe muffler in place of the Injen resonators. My thought is that the Magnaflow muffler will quieten the rasp of having test pipes. I really want the added HP of the test pipes and that is why I am trying this.

I think it sounds amazing at idle and probably under 3800, after that it sounds cheap.

If you want to eliminate most of the rasp get a pipe welded in between the two right before the resonators making it an H-Pipe setup, also HFC help too instead of just test pipes. I have this setup on my Z and it sounds great.

Just to let you guys know, I got my Inejn modified per my previous posts. Like I said, I had the Injen resonators cut off and had a Magnaflow X Pipe Muffler (11385) welding in its place. Before this mod, I had a little amount of rasp with the headers and stock cats. Now, I have absolutely no rasp and the sound is slightly deeper! This mod cost me $85 for the muffler and $75 in labor.
