Default Need 3 Inch Exhaust Gasket!!!!

Can anyone steer me in the right direction to obtain some 3 inch exhaust gaskets with the two bolt pattern. I have tried Kragens, Autozone, and some muffler shops and they don't carry any. If anyone knows where I can order some that would be greatly appreciated.

davidv has posted this piece of advice before:

take a piece of paper and hold it up to the exhaust mating surface that needs the gasket

shade the paper using the flat edge of a pencil tip

you will now have a nice picture of the exhaust mating surface, which you can take to an auto parts store, and check to see if the gasket matches properly.

Also, many garages can cut you a custom gasket given the design you specify

Thanks Wired. Stopped by a local muffler shop yesterday and brought the piece to them and they gave me a gasket. When I took it home to inspect it, the gasket fits perfectly around the flange, but the hole is a little too big. 2.75" vs. 2.5" of the pipe. I called the shop again to ask them if this was ok, and they said it should be fine even if the gasket is a little bigger. So, does that sound ok?

A little too big should be fine, I can't think of any reason why not. As long as it seals the connection (without being restrictive) that's all it has to do.
