Yeah, I figured asking for something similar, but cheaper was out of the question. Titanium is expensive.

What about sound though..Anything close.

I would have to say no. I have the FULL Amuse exhaust, R1 and the R1000 front pipe (y-pipe and test pipes in one piece), I also have Pro-1 headers. The sound is just out of this world! No drone on the highway. Before this I had the Tanabe SHM, Pro-1 Y-pipe and headers, and Crawford Hi-flows, the sounds was good, at least thats what I thought until the Amuse. Now, I would never EVER go back to that setup. It was loud and raspy. Not that the Amuse doesn't rasp, but it makes you think it wouldn't sound right if it wasn't there, make sense? It's weird, I actually like the rasp with this exhaust. It is also MUCH quieter than my first setup above with the Labree resonated test pipes. That was TOO LOUD

nate johnson17,

Did you relocate the Evaporative Canister when you installed your Amuse Ti Exhaust? As I am running into some rubbing issues with mine.

It is not necessary on the G to relocate the evap canister. I did however have to put spacers in between the stock body reinforcement brace because it was rubbing the Amuse midpipe.

Yeh i removed mine coz it melted the side of the evap canister plastic a bit and getting some very annoying rattling noise. But ofcourse, removing your evap canister - you will have to deal w/ SES constantly lighting up.

Anyways, i just purchased a Cipher and clearing SES is just a push of a button away.

Hi nate_johnson17 I'm thinking of getting the Amuse exhaust setup aswell but I'm holding back with the Y-pipe and test pipes (R1000) as I'm afraid it may be:
1) Too loud while cruizing on highways (say around 4 to 5k rpm)

2) Consume more petrol (I accept the fact that after modding my car fuel consumption will be effected, but how bad will it be after installing a test-pipe compared to the stock CAT?)

3) Leaves a stain at the back of my Z. I've seen some z with brown soot on top of their exhaust and i certainly do not want that to happen to my car. (What can I do to prevent that from happening?)

4) Smell!!! (I cant stand the smell of exhaust fumes and I've read somewhere that installing testpipes will make ur Z smelly, even on the interior.)

So far my Z's been bone stock except for a A'pexi Super Grounding Kit and a Motordyne 5'16 Iso Thermal Spacer and Motordyne MREV2 on its way from delivery.

Please share your experience with me. Thanks.

IMO, my HKS system is very subtle with no droning. It sounds great!! It doesnt have all the fancy titanium throughout the system but hey, the tip is all most people can see anyways right?

For sound wise, nothing on the market can come close to the R1 titan. For a good gain and light weight, try JIC y-pipe with a JIC single exit ti.

holy back from the dead...I heard a tanabe that sounded pretty sweet. More silky high pitched than some other exhaust. Still not the R1 though.

this is off subject but can you still pass inspection with the amuse exhaust and amuse y-pipe? i was also looking into something thats full titanium and the amuse caught my eye, but i don't want it if im gonna have problems passing emissions and getting my inspection sticker.
