Post Feedback on HFC's...What you HAVE?

Im already make my research about HFC's but I REALLY DON'T KNOW what is the best HFC's outhere. Im not gone to change my exhaust cause i like the OEM sound and look! Just want more air flow to gain some more HP.
- Crawford or Kinetix?
-What BRAND of HFC's you have on your Z?
-Feedback?
-Did you feel the increase in HP?

I know it's not part of the poll, but I run Ulitmate Racing HFCs. I installed them a year ago. So far no problems with them. As for increase in power...Sadly I can't say there was any. My first dyno with just a Borla TD was 270 HP and 252 Ft lbs. The second time I hit the rollers with HFCs and Injen CAI and power was the same.

I have Ultimate Racing HFCs as well.
Cost around $450 plus shipping
50,000 mile warranty
100% stainless (not aluminized that WILL rot)
OEM style mounting brackets
Weigh less than half as much as OEM
add 8db in sound at 3,000 RPM on OEM exhaust (no load)
Have seen no negative posts on UR

What about the brands you mention?

Both will give you about the same gains. I got the Kinetix because of a great deal that came up. From what I know the Crawfords retain the stock mounts which would have been nice.

Thanks for asking but I posted a Kinetix review complete with photos. No point in another high-flow catalytic converter thread.

Oh, davidv already made a thread about high flow cats? ... that must be the only thread necessary I guess?

Anyway, I was very happy with my Crawford cats. I only had JWT intake and the Crawford cats and it made the exhaust note sound awesome. It kept the Z's distinct tone but only louder and deeper ... which is exactly what I was looking for. They did rattle a little though, but that can be fixed very easily and quickly. The guys at Crawford are informative and helpful as well if you have any questions for them. I can't say I really felt too big of a power difference ... but if you're looking for just performance then HFC's probably aren't the part you're looking for. I think the sound alone was worth it.

Next time, dig up something at least a year old to be witty about.

So basically the Kinetix HFCs add like 1-2 hp paired with an exhaust like NIsmo? How much lighter are they than stock, I'm into weight reduction with my mods...any input on Kinetix with Nismo? as far as sound?

I had the Kinetix with my Nismo until just recently and loved it. As far as weight reduction, maybe a couple of pounds.

I love Office Space! I have it on my I-pod video so I can watch a few clips every once and awhile.

The stock cats are 23 pounds each. See http://tinyurl.com/yp8kvr

Anyone know what the Crawfords hi-flow cats weigh?
