I bought the popcharger for my g35 coupe and felt a power loss if anything. I felt more bottom end with the stock setup, with the popcharger if felt very hollow down low. The sound compared to stock is louder and deeper. If you after sound at WOT then this is what you want, but what is noise without power? After looking at the poor attempt of a heat shield I went back to a stock box with a K&N drop and sold the popcharger. I honestly feel that the heat from the engine bay is flowing right past JWT's heat shield and into my engine. I hear that for every 10-11 degrees in increased intake air temp = 1% in total power loss. (I'm not sure if this is true but if it is that could explain why my car felt weaker) Also I hear our stock air boxes create pressure at speeds over 20mph and you lose that with an open air element like the popcharger.

I bought the popcharger hoping that i would get gains in the end imo stock + a K&N drop in is better for performance. Hope that helps keep in mind this is just my opinion.

John

the popcharger is the best bang for the buck to gain a bit of power and to hear a nice sound. in terms of performance, i couldnt say im very happy with it since there have been times where the thing could have murdered me.
