To ALL-
Dont get the wrong idea Fast Intentions DOESN'T condone removing your stock catalytic converters on daily driven STREET VEHICLE. Like the test pipes these high flow cats are still recommend for off road use only. The purpose of these cats as it relates to the G-35/350Z and other OBDII compliant cars was to satisfy rules and regulations in certain racing sanctioned events that require the use of a catalytic converter, and mufflers. The rules don't specify that they need to be factory cats, just that a catalytic converter is present on the vehicle. Either ceramic or metal sub-straight.

Looks like the same MagnaFlow/Carsound Cat which Kinetix and I believe Ultimate Racing and probably others use. CARB Stamped and approved is bit misleading.

Then dont advertise them as CARB APPROVED and you will not have any problems...

You will just have some very unhappy customers come smog check time when they go in thinking they have Carb Approved high flow cats...

We have a full true dual exhaust system and test pipes. There was a Group Buy over a month ago that ended on those.

Check the website at www.fastintentions.com for more info.

Anything that is not OE...

search back to my old cat threads... emissions and highflow cats hasnt been discussed for a while... unless I missed some other posts while I was gone...

that is visual inspection...

I have seen cars pass a sniffer with test pipes / cams / headers... but visual inspection, thats another story...

Jason - you couldn't have said it any better.

Just because the car will or may pass the sniff test, does not mean it will pass visual.

These CATS have CARB numbers and EPA stickers - HOWEVER - they conform to 1990 standards - SO PRE OBDII - CURRENT standards. They may pass visual for race tracks requiring CATS - but that fits the off road use only requirement and statement.

Remember - these are not OEM CAT replacements! We want to be perfectly clear about this.

Don't forget all -

The Group buy is in the marketplace for sign-ups.

You can also check out our Intimidator Exhaust at www.fastintentions.com

For those of you who know about it already - about 15 of the 25 systems have been received by the Group Buy sign-ups from last month and the reviews are starting to come in on the G35Driver site. The few 350Z buyers should be getting their systems soon as well.

Go check it out and let me know if you have any questions.

IMO that's why one should buy HFC's that resemble OEM (not polished or too flashy looking) so they will pass the visual inspection. Here in GA they just check the gas cap and sniff the exhaust. Not sure how they could even see the cat's as they don't put it on a hoist. The impression I get is they just want your $10 so they can get to the next car in line.

I personally believe in running cat's, just want a little better performance and sound. There's a number of enthusiasts out there with big HP running stock cat's too so lots of options exist. I hate the rich exhaust smell of no cat's and don't like to create any unnecessary polution when it's so easy to prevent.

Agreed - Go to the marketplace and sign-up dude

Your reasoning above is the number 1 pro vs. con for going with CATS instead of Testpipes...

I understand that - but you gotta think too - every few years you do a swap out for smog from your off road use
